Discover How To Apply Dip Powders On Your Nails

By Jennifer Kelly

Dip manicures is a hybrid between fake nails and a manicure. It can last for at least three to four weeks after being applied. Compared to the classic acrylic or gel, this type is thinner and requires less tools and special filings. It gives a more natural look and do not lift and very easy to apply. It does not require a UV light or liquid monomer. Split and broken nails can be sealed up by overlaying resins and powders. When it concerns with dip powder starter kit, individuals can get their nails done by professionals to apply the procedure.

Before applying the product, make sure to groom your nails first. Use a polish remover and a cuticle pusher. If there is still polish left, remove it by using non acetone products. Use the pusher to nudge the cuticles slightly back. Remove any excess cuticles that are sticking up with the scraper and trimmer. This would allow the new nail to grow and make the manicure last longer.

Buff up the top surfaces. Whether it is natural, gel or acrylics, smooth the surfaces manually by using a file, block or a natural stone. Simply brush the grit with a brush. Pay attention on the grooves and the cuticle area when buffing them.

Brush resin onto the nails. Just move it slowly and apply it equally. The resin must be dotted on with the brush applicator rather than being applied in various strokes like polishers. Apply the resin neatly and evenly as possible. Focus on making the edge clean above the cuticles because this is where the powder adheres.

Sanitize the surfaces and edges with alcohol or any disinfectants. Dampen up a towel or cloth and apply the alcohol. Rub the towel all over your hands, fingers and fingernails. This will dehydrate and clean the surfaces and prepare it for the manicure. Never let your hands get sealed with any bacteria or germs.

Consult your friends and loved ones for more reliable information. They may have undergone the whole process already and they can share their experiences. They may give some tips and guidelines on how to properly apply the dip powder to your nails. They can offer some insights on the right brand to choose too.

Budgeting will play a big factor when making a decision. Products will require money to be acquired. Also, the brand name will give difference whether it would be high priced or not. Depending on the quality, it would become pricier.

Removing dip powder is relatively easy. Sand down the topmost layer with a file. Removing the top coat is important. File each nail evenly and thoroughly. This will make the powders come off much easily and efficiently.

Soak the cotton balls in pure acetone. Make the balls like the pieces of your nail and apply acetone. One cotton ball must cover at least one nail. Watch out for the dripping acetone.
