Also when one takes a warm bath or place a hot bottle on the back side during the night can offer comfort and reduce the abdominal pains. To prepare ginger tea, simply take a piece of ginger and peel it and cut it into small pieces. Put two glasses of water in a boil jar and bring it to boil. Add your ginger and simmer it for about 5 minutes then put your warm water into a mug. Add one tea bag and honey to taste.

Studies have shown that increasing calcium intake during menstruation can help relieve abdominal pains. Calcium is known to be a perfect cure for cramps. A natural source of calcium is milk. However, some people may be tolerant to lactose or milk. In such scenarios taking two to four tablets of calcium can help relieve the suffering. Though some of these remedies may work for some women, when chronic pains are experienced it is highly advisable to see a doctor for further examination.
