Holistic Options For Chronic Pain Solutions

By Michelle Baker

There is a vast amount of people who suffer from chronic pain and at some point they will want to know what treatment is available. There is large number of chronic pain solutions that you can choose from including holistic techniques and medicinal treatments.

In some cases a change of diet can be enough to help with the chronic pain. One of the keys to dealing with this pain in a lot of cases is reducing inflammation. There is some foods that have anti-inflammatory properties and these include cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, flax seed oils, whole brown rice and walnuts to name a few. Foods that contain quercetin are also good anti-inflammatory and these foods are also good antihistamines therefore can help to improve allergies.

Some drinks can also help to reduce inflammations and these include decaffinated chai tea, green tea, ginger and ginger and carrot juice and chrysanthemum and ginger tea. Camomile tea is best brewed or between ten minutes and fifteen minutes and this tea is good for soothing nerves. These drinks are also good for using when detoxing the body.

There are some food items that have the ability to aggreviate the pain and these are best avoided. Foods that you should avoid or at least eat in small quantities includes rice flour, white flour and white sugar potatoes. Spicy foods are also best avoided as they can make the pain worse. Hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated fats are best avoided for kept to a minimum as well.

Some chronic pain tends to respond very well to acupressure and medical energy work. Acupressure is a gentle method that comes from Chinese medicine and it does not require the use of needles.

Acupressure stimulates certain parts of the body in an effort to encourage the body to stimulate the endorphins within the body. Endorphins are natural chemicals that work within the body in an effort to reduce the pain. Research on acupressure has found that it is very good for reducing and in some cases treating chronic pain that people have in their lower back.

Some of the acupuncture techniques that are used are a bit similar to the ones that are used in Western massage therapies. Practitioners tend to make use of a number of techniques so that they can maximise the ability of the treatment. Acupressure is not an invasive process and it will not make the pain worse, therefore it is probably worth a try to see if it can help.

If you are not too keen to do holistic therapies to sort your pain there is other medical things that can be done such as medications and physiotherapy and massages can help in some cases. Mediation is another thing that you could try when you are trying to reduce the amount of pain that you are in. The best way to find a method that works for you is to try a number of different methods as this will let you see what works best for you.
